November 2011 (AGM)
The 2011 AGM will be hosted by Wilkinson Homestead.
The evening is more than our AGM, the volunteers will take us through the history of our amazing area and show us their tireless work in displaying the past lives of the pioneers.
Located the banks of the Canning River the museum collection is housed in the State Heritage listed Wilkinson Homestead on Homestead Road in Gosnells.
The site has an interesting history of early European settlement, Aaboriginal heritage and districts agriculture development. The agricultural shed built to protect machinery reflects the agricultural heritage of the area and is constructed partly from material saved from the old Maddington Centenary Hall and the Orange Grove brickworks.
The museum has a fascinating collection reflecting the history of the district. Many objects and photographs have been donated to the museum by pioneer families.
Finger food and drinks provided.
